Anti-Discrimination Policy

ANTI DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Policy

VGES anti-discrimination policy describes how we protect staff, learners, subject matter experts, and other contractors from discrimination in the work place. This policy provides information on expected behavior to avoid discriminatory activities as we comply with all anti-discrimination laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). We explicitly prohibit offensive behavior and activities such as derogatory comments towards colleagues of a specific gender, race, color or ethnicity.

Purpose

This nondiscrimination policy covers admission, access, and participation in all VGES programs and activities. In accordance with applicable Federal and State law and VGES policy, VGES does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition, ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or service in the uniformed services. VGES also prohibits sexual harassment.
